In 2018 the Women in Podcast was only a dream. Let me share with you how it started…
I was working at Accenture | SolutionsIQ then and was gaining more involvement with the Agile Amped podcast we coordinated. Led by Roxi Ozolins‘ passion and my connection to Women in Agile, we began recording special episodes of the podcast as featured content for Women in Agile. This was mostly in alignment with conferences where Accenture | SolutionsIQ and Women in Agile were already involved. We also started more diligently seeking women to be a part of the Agile Amped series. This led to Accenture | SolutionsIQ be one of the first sponsors of Women in Agile Org, and I’m confident we (WiA Org) wouldn’t have been able to accomplish as much as we have without their generosity.

In 2019, in partnership with Hanna Gnann (Agile Amped’s then production manager) we launched a standalone podcast series for Women in Agile. It was an exciting time! The series launched in alignment with Agile 2019 and we were thrilled to have episodes featuring both female keynote speakers Lynne Cazaly (check out the episode with Lynne) and Portia Tung (check out the episode with Portia). The work Accenture | SolutionsIQ’s marketing team put in to make the podcast a reality deserves appreciation well beyond anything I can convey through this blog post. Needless to say, we would have not made this podcast a reality without them.
Since the initial launch on July 31, 2019 we have released 62 episodes featuring industry stalwarts, brand new voices, and many things in-between. It hasn’t all been easy, but I wouldn’t have skipped it for the world. I have had the honor of host conversations with so many incredible women and selfishly have loved learning along the way.
Earlier this year, Women in Agile Org assumed all production management accountabilities for the WiA Podcast, and I have to say we miss our days tightly collaborating with the Accenture | SolutionsIQ team. As we navigate this transition period for the podcast, everyone at WiA Org wanted to take a moment to appreciate all Accenture | SolutionsIQ made possible. Without them we would not have this channel for amplifying the wisdom and talent of the women in our community. Thank you!
